Creation Justice Ministries is proud to announce the launching of the green lectionary podcast. The Green Lectionary podcast is, a conversation on scripture through the lens of creation justice. We have invited scholars, activists and preachers to join the CJM staff in discussing how we might preach well known passages with an eye towards caring for all that God has made. Our first slate of episodes will feature a passage from the revised common lectionary for the five Sundays that make up the season of creation from September 1st through October 4th. New episodes will launch every Monday beginning on August 28th. For those of you who preach, we hope that this will be a resource that helps to bring creation justice to the forefront of your preaching. For those of you who don’t preach, we hope that this will be a window into the ways that creation appears in scripture and that that will inform the way you read the texts. We hope you’ll join us on Monday for the first episode. In the meantime, our friend Christian McIvor has written a lovely theme song to accompany the show. We hope you enjoy it!
